On 27 October 2022, the Berliner Konzerthaus Orchestra, with principal conductor Christoph Eschenbach, the eminent Ukrainian violinist Valeriy Sokolov, the emerging cellist Aleksey Shadrin and many others, will hold a benefit concert for the International Rescue Committee, the world’s largest organisation helping refugees in a special benefit concert. All artists perform for free to support this important work and cause.

Chief conductor Christoph Eschenbach and Mirian Khukhunaishvili lead the Konzerthausorchester Berlin with renowned Ukrainian and international soloists. The programme includes works by Ukrainian composers, Bruch and Mozart, as well as Mahler’s Fourth Symphony.
With this concert, the Konzerthaus Berlin supports the humanitarian aid of International Rescue Committee (IRC). IRC was founded in 1933 on the initiative of Albert Einstein and supports people worldwide who have to flee from political crises, war, persecution or natural disasters. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the work of IRC – and thus to needy families worldwide. All musicians involved waive their fees.
