Interwoven and interconnected: Interactions of the Near and Middle East with the West – Art Building of the Philipps-Universität Marburg

In the winter semester 2022/23, the Centre for Middle Eastern Studies (CNMS) at Philipps-Universität Marburg will host the Studium Generale. The topic of the lecture series is “From the Atlantic to the Hindu Kush… A History of Interconnections”. “European history, especially colonial history, cannot be thought of without the interconnections it created; but the history of the non-Western world is also characterised by close interconnections among and with each other,” says CNMS Executive Director Leslie Tramontini.
