This year, the fair will feature 91 distinguished galleries from across 13 countries, each offering a carefully selected range of artworks that span centuries and cultures. TEFAF New York 2025 will once again serve as an extraordinary gathering for collectors, curators, and art professionals, providing an opportunity to engage with exceptional pieces that span a rich diversity of art forms, from ancient artifacts to cutting-edge contemporary works.

The fair’s curated selection will encompass a wide array of periods and artistic disciplines. Among its many highlights, TEFAF New York 2025 will present exceptional works from classical antiquity, Renaissance and Baroque masters, as well as modern and contemporary artists. Rare and important antiquities, Renaissance paintings, and contemporary pieces will provide visitors with an unparalleled opportunity to explore art from different eras and geographic regions in one setting. The fair’s commitment to presenting these masterpieces reflects its role as a key platform for understanding and acquiring the most important works in the global art market today.

This year’s edition will emphasize the continued relevance of art across historical periods. Galleries will present rare and significant sculptures, pottery, and artifacts from ancient civilizations, alongside masterpieces from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, providing a deep dive into the development of European art from the 14th through the 18th centuries. These works, which continue to shape the foundations of Western art, will sit alongside modern and contemporary works that reflect the dynamic and evolving nature of artistic expression.

Modern and contemporary art will be a focal point of the 2025 fair, with galleries showcasing key works by some of the most significant artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. Highlighted pieces will include works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Takashi Murakami, and Ruth Asawa, exploring the interplay between historical art forms and contemporary concerns. The fair’s inclusion of these works allows visitors to consider how contemporary art both dialogues with and challenges the artistic traditions of the past.

In addition to painting and sculpture, TEFAF New York 2025 will place a particular emphasis on design and decorative arts, bringing together rare and innovative objects that reflect the rich history and evolution of material culture. Galleries will showcase exceptional pieces of furniture, lighting, and ceramics from the 20th and 21st centuries, offering collectors the chance to acquire artworks that engage with both aesthetic and functional dimensions of design.

Fine jewelry will also play an important role at the 2025 fair, with galleries presenting works by both historical and contemporary designers. The jewelry on display will reflect the enduring importance of this craft, combining exceptional artistry with exquisite craftsmanship, and offering a nuanced perspective on the intersections between art, design, and material culture.

One of the most distinctive features of TEFAF New York is its presentation of curated period rooms, which offer visitors a unique opportunity to experience artworks in historically accurate settings. These rooms provide a deeper context for understanding the works on display, placing them within the environments that once housed them and allowing for an immersive exploration of cultural history.

Beyond the fair’s remarkable selection of artworks, TEFAF New York 2025 will continue to foster scholarly engagement with art through a series of talks, panel discussions, and curated tours. These programs will provide an opportunity for curators, artists, and collectors to explore the themes of the fair, delve deeper into the history and significance of individual works, and engage in dialogue about trends shaping the art market today.

TEFAF’s ongoing commitment to the preservation of cultural heritage will be highlighted through its Museum Restoration Fund, which supports the conservation of significant works of art. This year, the fund will assist with the restoration of important artworks, ensuring that these pieces can be appreciated by future generations.
