Artist Sarah Ancelle Schönfeld and art historian Dr. Kathrin Rottmann discuss the promises of reproductive medicine since the 1960s, self-determined female sexuality and the understanding of care work in contemporary social discourse. Another focus is the growing interest of artists in bodily fluids such as breast milk or cervical mucus and how they shape the art historical discourse.
Together we would like to discuss how the individual experience of femininity can be embedded and realigned in the social discourse on femininity.
The panel discussion will be held in German.
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Christina Landbrecht.
