Artissima [Turin] | 31.10.-02.11.2025
Artissima aims to be a leading international platform for contemporary art, combining market presence with a strong focus on experimentation and research. The fair seeks to promote the development of artistic practices and the exploration of various media. For 2025, Artissima invites its community to contribute to a “manual” meant to navigate our planet through the challenges of the present—a call to visionaries to find new ways to understand our role on “Spaceship Earth.”
Special Features:
A distinctive feature of Artissima is its consistently experimental, research-oriented, and pioneering character. The fair is known for its curated sections such as “Present Future”, which showcases emerging talents, “Back to the Future”, which presents monographic projects of contemporary art pioneers, and “Disegni”, the only section at an Italian fair dedicated exclusively to the medium of drawing. Artissima places great emphasis on the authenticity and autonomy of works on paper. The fair also maintains a close collaboration with Turin’s local art and cultural program, including exhibitions in the city’s museums and galleries.
Target Audience:
Artissima is aimed at an international professional audience, including collectors, curators, museum directors, and art professionals, as well as a broad audience of art enthusiasts. It attracts those interested in groundbreaking and experimental positions in contemporary art and those seeking to discover new talents.
History:
Artissima was founded in 1994 and has since established itself as Italy’s most important fair for contemporary art. From the beginning, it developed a unique identity, combining a focus on research and experimentation with an international market presence. The fair has played a key role in positioning Turin as an important center for contemporary art on the international stage.
