DEEDS CALENDAR: Annika Kahrs. Off Score – Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart (Berlin) | until 03.05.2026
From 14.11.2025, the Hamburger Bahnhof will present the most comprehensive selection to date of works by Berlin-based artist Annika Kahrs at the intersection of art and music. In her videos, Kahrs explores the cultural and social functions of music: in an abandoned church in Lyon, at a parade of an intergenerational orchestra in an Italian village, or in Berlin department stores. The video and sound installations in the East Wing and the historical passageways, as well as the live performance “For Two To Play On One” (2012) in the Forum Hamburger Bahnhof, create sonic spaces that continually surprise visitors as they move through the museum. More than ten video works, sound installations, and performances from the last 15 years will be presented at selected locations within the Hamburger Bahnhof, the Museum of Musical Instruments, and in public spaces.
