Grands Boulevards – Poster Art of Art Nouveau
Hardly any other epoch in art history has as many names as Art Nouveau: in French “Art nouveau”, in English “Modern Style”, in Italian “Stile Floreale”. However different the names and interpretations may be, they describe the same characteristic style of this epoch. Aesthetic forms, decorative lines and floral ornaments show man in harmony with nature. Art entered everyday life through posters in public spaces. Thus, in the large cities, the streets and boulevards were transformed into open-air art exhibitions.
