Galerie Franzkowiak cordially invites you to a multimedia show with filmmaker Marion Pfaus alias Rigoletti on Friday, March 1st 2019 at 7 pm. Because, according to Rigoletti: “HUMBOLDT 21 is now RĂśCKBAU 21 (DECONSTRUCTION 21)″. On the website for her projects, the artist also shows the constant and almost consistent history of dismantling at this Berlin location since the 16th century.
The Humboldt Forum will (probably) open this year. It’s getting serious! The deconstruction of the Humboldt Forum is the logical consequence of the centuries-old deconstruction tradition of Berlin’s Schlossplatz and culminates on August 6th 2050 in the GroĂźen Jubiläums-Schloss-Sprengung as Facebook Party > already over 2000 interested and registered!

Since 2011, Pfaus has been taking care of the dismantling of the Humboldt Forum and collecting donations. We have known since the dismantling of the Palast der Republik how long and expensive this can be. She observes the state of donations for the historic façade, which has still not achieved its goal, and builds a castle model with a mixed façade adapted to the state of donations. She collects ideas for the use of the castle square after 2050. Pfaus already knows what to do with the exhibits and makes sustainable proposals for recycling the facade elements.
An event as part of the exhibition “Under the Underground”.
