Editors’ Choice

From 1 February 2023 all Berliners between the ages of 18 and 23 can pick up their YOUTH CULTURE CARD at one of over 40 libraries after registering online at jugendkulturkarte.berlin. This gives them a credit of 50 euros, which they can redeem at many of Berlin’s cultural venues until 30 April 2023.

The JUGENDKULTURKARTE is an invitation to young Berliners to rediscover Berlin’s cultural diversity after the restrictions of the last few years and to experience it together, regardless of budget. The participating cultural venues offer everything from classical theatre, contemporary art, photography, alternative concerts, dance performances and cinema films to DJ sets and newcomer comedians.

Senator of Culture Klaus Lederer: “It’s great that the JUGENDKULTURKARTE is starting now, and I hope that as many Berliners as possible between the ages of 18 and 23 will take advantage of our offer to explore Berlin’s diverse cultural landscape and enjoy it together – especially after the restrictions of the last few years. Many of our Berlin cultural institutions are partners of the campaign and I am very happy about this strong sign for a social cultural togetherness.”

How does the JUGENDKULTURKARTE work?
Berliners who are or will be 18 to 23 years old in the campaign period between 1 February and 30 April 2023 and who are registered in Berlin with their primary or secondary residence can register online at www.jugendkulturkarte.berlin from 1 February 2023. They can then pick up the card in many public libraries with their personal pick-up code until 28 February 2023. The YOUTH CULTURE CARD has a credit of 50 euros, which can be redeemed for tickets at the ticket counters as well as at evening and advance booking offices of the participating cultural venues until 30 April 2023. Regular prices apply; concessions such as for trainees or students are of course recognised. Some venues, such as the Volksbühne or the Friedrichstadt-Palast, also offer special tickets.
