The artist Zuzanna Skiba (represented by H ART MANN GALLERY, Berlin), who lives and works in Berlin, looks at the world with all its topographical, political and personal information, with memories as well as without them, and combines a view from different perspectives in her series of works: from above, from the middle or from below … She is a painter and trained cartographer with a focus on terrain hatching, shading and thematic cartography. Skiba works internationally in the context of the fine arts with a focus on painting, drawing and the science of cartography and magnetic fields.

The artist received a working scholarship for the lonely residence on the Norwegian island of Fruholmen on the theme “Drama in the landscape” at the North Cape and worked artistically last summer 2018 in Abruzzo, in the earthquake region of Italy.
Zuzanna Skiba works with the directness of painting pictures as soul bearers and sensibilities. Interior and exterior landscapes. The results are charged, dark, erotic, sensual and painted with crust.
