Art Toronto aims to provide a dynamic platform for the trade and presentation of modern and contemporary art. It brings together the most important art galleries from Canada and around the world to present new and established works to a wide audience. A particular focus is placed on promoting the Canadian art scene in an international context and creating a meeting place for artists, collectors and art lovers.
Special features:
A special feature of Art Toronto is its comprehensive programme, which goes beyond pure gallery presentations. This includes curated sections such as the Solo section, which focuses on individual presentations by artists, and the PLATFORM section, which showcases larger, immersive installations. The fair also offers a rich supporting programme of lectures, panel discussions and guided tours that provide insights into current topics in the art world. Particularly noteworthy is the Art Toronto Public Art Project, which presents artworks in public spaces, thus extending the fair beyond the confines of the exhibition centre.

History:
Art Toronto was founded in 2000 and has since established itself as Canada’s most important art fair. Over the years, it has continuously grown in size and international recognition and has become an integral part of the global art calendar.
