The exhibition addresses artists whose biographical roots lie in Eastern Europe / the former Eastern bloc.
With the new studio fellowship and artist-in-residence program, KVOST invites artists to explore the complex network of meanings of Leipziger Strasse / Dönhoffplatz and its surroundings or to engage with other aspects of the East. The works created in this process will be presented in a solo exhibition during Berlin Art Week.
KVOST is pleased to announce Alicja Kwade, Slavs and Tatars and the curator team Nathalie Hoyos & Rainald Schumacher as members of this year’s jury.
The application documents are available immediately at www.kvost.de. The closing date for applications is 07.04.2019.
The Kunstverein Ost – KVOST for short – was founded in 2018 and is dedicated to supporting artists who come from Eastern Europe or whose lives and working methods were shaped by the experience of the former Eastern Bloc.
