68projects invites you to celebrate the launch of the third book by Georgian photographer George Nebieridze. George Nebieridze is a Berlin based Georgian photographer who studied at the universities of Tbilisi and Berlin. His works have been shown in exhibitions in Georgia, Europe and abroad alongside major features and articles in magazines across the globe including i-D, Dazed and Vice amongst others.

Returning with his third book of photographs the artist is no stranger to capturing reality in its rawest forms. Having previously published two books which captured the underbelly of the underground of major European cities and collections of Berlin nightlife, Nebieridze continuously brings forward a unique perspective and combination of youth culture, sexual liberation and a view into abstract fragments of industrial design and manufacturing in the German capital.

In a time where seemingly everybody can participate in the lives of everyone around them, Nebieridze’s analog photography brings us even closer to a social media dominated world and at the same time goes far beyond it. As the artist states: “My work has always been a tool of representation: to show certain people, including myself, in their specific cultural environment; to expose to the ordinary world some of these histories, and along with that, their very personal, intimate and somber surroundings. Throughout, of course, is an attention to the technical, visual aspects of image-making and a passion for colour, geometry and texture.“

His third book 17′ is a proof for this: well composed, each page telling its own truth and all these little stories relating to form a bigger picture, told throughout the pages of the whole book. Love, hate, sex, drugs, music, life, nature, city, cruelty, tenderness …
