The festival meeting point ‘BAW Garten’ of Berlin Art Week 2024 will be a guest at the Gropius Bau this year. From 11 Septem ber until 15 September 2024, the BAW Garden will open its doors as the central meeting point of the festival week to invite visitors to a unique art and education programme.

Throughout Berlin Art Week, the BAW Garden at the Gropius Bau will be the central meeting point and offer a platform for encounters, creative exchange and discovering the festival. For five days, visitors are invited to experience a diverse and interactive programme with free admission and open air.
In the BAW Garten, visitors can get active themselves, for example in workshops and dance sessions, or experience performances, talks, films in the open-air cinema, culinary surprises and DJ sets. In the BAW Garten, you can also find out about the city-wide tours and routes on offer as well as the overall programme of the Berlin Art Week partners. The festival meeting point aims to be a starting point for personal festival planning, a place to get together and a relaxed end to the day.
The Gropius Bau, one of the most important exhibition centres in Europe, together with the curatorial practice of Jenny Schlenzka, the building’s new director, provide the perfect setting for the BAW Garden. In the inspiring surroundings of the exhibition house, which Schlenzka will transform into a place of encounter and open exchange with her opening programme from the festival week in autumn, Berlin Art Week will organise a variety of events – including artistic performances, discussions, workshops, screenings and DJ sets – with numerous partners from all over the city.

As the largest association of major players in contemporary art in Berlin, the festival presents a diverse programme with over 100 partners throughout the city, from museums and exhibition venues to fairs, private collections and project spaces as well as numerous galleries.
