These museums in Berlin will be open over Easter 2026

Editors’ Choice

Over the Easter weekend, Berlin is buzzing with cultural activity, and most art museums remain open, offering an excellent opportunity to visit exhibitions even on public holidays.

During the Easter holidays in 2026, which run from Good Friday, April 3, to Easter Monday, April 6, 2026, the vast majority of Berlin’s museums will be open with special hours corresponding to those of a Sunday. All institutions of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin will be open – with the exception of the Musikinstrumentenmuseum, which is closed on Easter Monday.

In addition to the major institutions on Museum Island and at the Kulturforum, numerous other museums and exhibition venues – including the Jüdisches Museum Berlin, the Museum für Naturkunde, the Deutsches Technikmuseum, and C/O Berlin – will also be open throughout the Easter holidays.

From April 3 to April 6, 2026, the institutions of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin will follow Sunday opening hours; they are open from 10 am to 6 pm.
Other museums may have different opening hours. We have carefully researched and listed these differing times here. If in doubt, please check the respective institution’s website before your visit.
