Gallery Z22 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf invites you to the three-day exhibition THE FALLEN GENDER on 26 October 2022. The performance will take place during the vernissage and finissage. The Fallen Gender is an interdisciplinary performance and installation project that takes an intimate look at how we submit to gender roles imposed by society.

It rethinks binary cis-tem, interpreting identities and relationships in a bipolar framework, and situates this template in the body to explore the conflict between our perception of our body, which is the first house our soul lives in, and society’s perception.
It takes a look at this house, this collection of memories and traumas, to understand its patterns of movement. Can a house move? How do conflicts at the foundational level affect our structure and navigation through a binary, heteronormative system that denies new identities and safe spaces?
