Galerie Kornfeld is hosting an Art Talk “Finding Home with Art” featuring Saskia de Vries in conversation with Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Schmid on Friday, September 30th 2022. At the same time, the gallery presents the exhibition Fragments from September 10th to October 29th, which for the first time jointly shows works by Tammam Azzam and Jonas Englert that deal with reconstruction and the recontextualisation of politically significant moments in history.
The main topic of philosopher Prof. Dr. Wilhelm Schmid is the philosophy of the art of living. He deals with the human search for meaning and topics such as happiness and unhappiness, love or serenity. He lectures internationally, speaks on the radio, for example on SRF, SWR2, BR and Deutschlandfunk, and has been a guest on the SWR talk show “Nachtcafé” several times.
Saskia de Vries is the Head of Philanthropy and Major Donations Fundraising at ACHSE e.V.. , friend of the Kornfeld Gallery, consultant and networker in the fields of art and foundations and associations. She also organises charity dinners and art auctions.
