For the final spurt of the 90-day event marathon, the Culture Summer Festival invites you to a whole series of top-class events – as always, free and outside. This is the ideal opportunity for all those who would like to take advantage of the free offer of the Kultursommerfestival once again or would like to get an impression of this unique format before it comes to an end. As a brilliant finale, there will be three matinée concerts in three districts on Sunday, 18 September: with the Swingin’ Hermlins in Pankow, the German Chamber Orchestra Berlin in Mitte and the pianist Sebastian Knauer in Charlottenburg.

The events of the last week will be as usual exciting, diverse and have a few surprises in store. For example, Tierpark Berlin will open its doors for one day free of charge and offer a broad programme ranging from an afternoon lunch by the Gibbons to “hot jazz” and entertaining performances by artists. Art meets music at the legendary KGB Sounds concert series in Körnerpark, acrobatics and music take place on the Holzmarkt grounds and the BVG Orchestra plays in the Späth’schen Baumschulen. There will be readings, talks and workshops on the topic of “Waste” at the Floating University Berlin and artistic discourses on Opening Day in the Berlin Art Week Garden and at the international literature festival berlin. In addition, visitors to the Cultural Summer Festival can look forward to the XJAZZ! Festival at Sisyphos, the Staatsballett on a boat along the Spree and “Der perfekte Tag” as an open-air production by the Volksbühne to kick off the season.
