“This painting corresponds to the ambition of painting colour in the air.”
Color Light Matter Mind is Staeglich’s first monograph and relates her current works to her earlier ones (1998-2021). From the spiral reliefs to her Liquid Lights, she opens up a new dimension to colour.
Nicola Staeglich studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt, at the Mainz Art Academy and at Chelsea College of Art in London. She has received numerous scholarships and has been a professor of painting/graphics at the Hochschule der bildenden Künste Essen since 2015.
