During Berlin Art Week (10–14 September 2025), the festival meeting place “Berlin Art Week Garden” invites you to the Hamburger Bahnhof – National Gallery of Contemporary Art. On Friday, 12 September 2025, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the international symposium “Shaping the Future” will take place there.

Under the title ›Shaping the Future‹, international guests will discuss the contemporary museum as a social space. Museum professionals from Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Warsaw will address current challenges and the role of museums for contemporary art within society.
The symposium was conceived by Mathilda Legemah (Strategic Development, Hamburger Bahnhof), Till Fellrath (Director Hamburger Bahnhof), and Mona Stehle (Artistic Director Berlin Art Week). It is a joint project of Berlin Art Week and Hamburger Bahnhof – Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart, which will host this year’s Festival Meeting Point ›Berlin Art Week Garten‹.
