The exhibition accompanying the edition will open on 19. December as part of the EIGENHEIM Christmas party in Weimar. An accompanying booklet on the website provides a first impression. The edition was realised with the support of the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Thuringia and the City of Weimar.

Hardly any other colour is as emotionally, symbolically and ambivalently charged as yellow. It stands for light, warmth and joie de vivre, for energy, insight and community, but also for envy, excess, warning and seduction. Yellow moves between the poles of cheerfulness and danger, splendour and poison, gold and sulphur.
Following previous editions on topics such as ‘Instructions for Action in Art,’ ‘Germany,’ and ‘Bauhaus 100,’ this edition deliberately focuses on a single colour. The aim is to create space for diverse artistic approaches and, at the same time, to highlight the contradictory nature of yellow as a reflection of current social and global developments.
The Edition GELB brings together works by 30 female artists from various artistic fields, including painting, graphic art, photography, video, object art, installation art, conceptual art and performance art, as well as a few unexpected positions. The edition is published in a limited run of twelve copies and is presented in a bookbinder-made, linen-bound edition box in DIN A3 format. Some of the participating artists have already been included in curated exhibitions in recent years, others are being presented for the first time, while others have long been associated with Haus EIGENHEIM.
