Editors’ Choice

For another two years, the Hamburger Bahnhof will be in conversation with artists and audiences: Thomas Struth will kick off the third edition of the free-admission discussion series ‘In Conversation. A Series in Cooperation with Deutsche Bank’ on 28 February 2026. Kader Attia will follow in March, and in April Joana Hadjithomas & Khalil Joreige will talk about their art. In May, Lina Lapelytė will continue the series on the occasion of her solo exhibition at the Hamburger Bahnhof. Admission to the events is free.

The series also continues the collaboration with Deutsche Bank. In the monthly series ‘In Conversation. A Series in Cooperation with Deutsche Bank,’ artists discuss their works. Since February 2024, the Hamburger Bahnhof has been inviting international artists to engage in conversation with the public. Established artists discuss their beginnings, their development, the Berlin art scene in an international context, and share their views on the future of artistic practice. Twenty-three artists have been guests so far: Yael Bartana, Monica Bonvicini, Sonia Boyce, Mark Bradford, Tania Bruguera, David Claerbout, Thomas Demand, Elmgreen& Dragset, Cao Fei, Katharina Grosse, Petrit Halilaj, Anawana Haloba, Anne Imhof, Annette Messager, Ersan Mondtag, Tomás Saraceno, Zineb Sedira, Tino Sehgal, Jeff Wall, Jan St. Werner, Rachel Whiteread, and Haegue Yang.
