Berlin Art Week will take place from Wednesday, September 11th to Sunday, September 15th, 2024. Berlin Art Week is a festival week and the largest association of actors in the contemporary Berlin art scene, from museums to exhibition halls, trade fairs and galleries, to private collections and project spaces. Since its founding in 2012 with 11 partners, Berlin Art Week now brings together over 100 partners across the city.

Berlin Art Week bring people and ideas together – both on stage and off. In cooperation with their many partners across the city, they work hard to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for Berlin’s unique culture and eventful history, always encouraging as many people as possible to contribute and get involved. BAWs work focuses on generating innovative access to culture and cultural events, providing information, launching initiatives and developing, monitoring and carrying out a varied array of projects containing challenging content in popular formats – from the initial concept all the way to the post-event clean-up.
Berlin Art Week projects thrive on active participation and dynamic networks. Since 2006, they’ve cooperated with almost all of Berlin’s museums, theatres and memorial sites. They also continue to work closely together with diverse educational, political and science-oriented institutions and associations as well as with the independent scene and – above all – the people of Berlin.
Open Call BAW Featured
Special projects with a plan for the 13th edition of Berlin Art Week (11-15 SEP 2024) can be submitted to the ‘BAW Featured’ section until May 15, 2024. From the submissions, a new selection committee each year awards a place in the 2024 festival program to around ten project sponsors. The aim of the selection is to further underline the artistic quality and diversity in the city and to work with various institutions such as art forms, themes and Perspectives to enrich Berlin Art Week.
The prerequisite for participation is a contemporary art contribution that opens the Berlin Art Week or represents a special program within the festival week.
