EIGEN + ART Lab presents on 14. November 2024 the group exhibition Resilience: Pleasure and Self-Care in a Precarious World with works by the artists Nyakallo Maleke, Sethembile Msezane, Slindile Mthembu, Thandiwe Msebenzi and Cazlynne Peffer.

Curated by Thuli Mlambo-James, the exhibition brings together artists working in diverse mediums and perspectives, exploring and challenging societal norms. Viewers are invited to explore the aesthetics of resilience, the importance of unconditional love, and healing and the role of art in driving social change.
It aims to initiate discussions on art as activism, psychoanalytical perspectives, and global views on women‘s experiences.
This exhibition, promises to challenge societal norms, navigate complexities in the contemporary world and explore the transformative potential of self-care as a form of resistance, while also exploring the intersectionality of personal and collective well-being.
