Venice Galleries View is organizing the Venice Gallery Weekend, set to take place on March 21–23, 2025. Over three days, participating galleries will host exhibitions, talks, and special events, offering visitors a chance to explore contemporary art in Venice beyond the Biennale.

While Venice Galleries View has launched shared initiatives in the past, this marks a new step for the association. Since its founding in 2018, VGV has steadily grown, bringing together seventeen research galleries focused on contemporary art and the primary market. The goal is to highlight Venice’s vibrant cultural scene year-round and attract a wider international audience.
This renewed effort comes at a time of change for the city’s art landscape, with new international galleries and institutions adding to its creative energy. By hosting the event outside of the Biennale period, Venice Gallery Weekend emphasizes that Venice’s art scene is active and evolving throughout the year. Beyond its renowned museums and foundations, the city is home to a diverse network of commercial galleries, independent spaces, artist studios, and local initiatives—all of which contribute to a dynamic and expanding cultural environment.
Venice Gallery Weekend is an opportunity to engage with this scene firsthand. Visitors can explore exhibitions across multiple venues, attend special events, and meet the artists shaping contemporary art in Venice today.
