The Kunstverein recently moved into a former prefabricated building on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz – a place with a history of utopian ambitions and political change.
The artists Mark Fridvalszki and Marko Tadić present a fragmented, immersive archive with wall works, paintings, prints, drawings, models and archive objects – including an exhibit from the Utopia and Everyday Life collection in Eisenhüttenstadt. The exhibition examines the influence of failed utopias on contemporary ideas. A soundscape by Àbáse and Ziggy Zeitgeist adds a sonic dimension to the visual level. The two musicians will perform live at the opening. The exhibition examines the influence of failed utopias on contemporary imaginations.
