The exhibition “Give Me Just a Moment More” explores the significance of leisure, mindfulness and the perception of time in a present-day world characterised by a relentless pace. In a dialogue-based interplay, the artistic approaches of Stephanie Stellmann and Katrin Adler come together, opening up a shared space for thought and experience between abstraction and figuration. The exhibition can be seen at Haus Hünenburg from 19 April to 14 June 2026.

‘Give me just a moment’ is a call for more leisure in a present-day world characterised by a fast pace and sensory overload. Leisure is seen here as a prerequisite for creative inspiration in artistic work, as well as the foundation for the enjoyment of art. In this collaborative exhibition, two different artists come together to create a shared space for thought and practice.
As these perspectives are exchanged and brought into dialogue, questions about time and attention come to the fore: How is time valued, and how is the present moment utilised? How can we maintain our focus when the world seems to be spinning ever faster?

The sculptor Stephanie Stellmann and the collage artist Katrin Adler address these questions through a dynamic interplay between abstraction and figuration. A visual dialogue unfolds in which random geometric shapes and graphic surfaces interact with one another.
The exhibition approaches this moment from opposite directions: whilst Katrin Adler uses collage to move from the concrete to the open-ended, Stephanie Stellmann condenses abstract forms into figures.
What both artistic approaches have in common is the creative principle of taking things apart and reassembling them. The materials – wax and paper – are transformed, whilst traces remain visible. New connections emerge from fragments – tentative, exploratory and deliberately incomplete.

It is in this gesture that the exhibition’s distinctive quality lies: in the harmonious coexistence of shared formal principles, as well as in the fascination with their mutual differences. ‘Give me just a moment more’ is not intended as a loud commentary on the present, but as a quiet, focused suggestion to engage with it more attentively.
