“Rosilene Luduvico – Primavera” – Kunsthalle Darmstadt
Trees, birds, solitary figures, sleeping people, stones, wind and water, but also geometric shapes and bright colours obtained from pigments themselves form the vocabulary of her painting, in which each brushstroke counts as much as the whole picture. Who is this painter who “can do what she wants and wants what she can” (Laymert Garcia dos Santos)? Long since known to more than just a circle of enthusiasts, Rosilene Luduvico travels time and again from her adopted home in Düsseldorf to South America, Europe and Japan. The attentive study of nature, the preoccupation with the so-called Old Masters and the various moderns of the world as well as unconditional contemporaneity go hand in hand for her.
