After last year’s inspiring performance with Schubert’s string quintet, Galerie Kremers is once again inviting you to a concert with the young string quintet on Tuesday, 6 February 2024 in the Gothic Hall of Galerie Kremers on the site of the former Schultheissbrauerei brewery on the Kreuzberg.

“We are a passionate and experimental ensemble that came together at the Hanns Eisler School of Music. In June 2023, we played our first, self-organised concert in Berlin Mitte with great success. Each member has travelled a very personal path as a musician, and all have been successful at national and international competitions. Some of us are now academy members of major orchestras such as the Berliner Philharmoniker or play in ensembles such as the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, which specialises in historical performance practice.”
The ensemble consists of
Coco Tomita – violin
Johannes Ascher – violin
Toby Cook – viola
Alexander Wollheim – violoncello
Joe Pritchard – Violoncello
Memory Eternal / Ewige Erinnerung is an evening of discovering Eastern European works with Sergei Prokofiev, Anton Arensky, Alfred Schnittke and Bulgarian folk music.
