ARCOmadrid, organised by IFEMA MADRID, celebrates its 44th edition from 5 to 9 March 2025. With an exceptional selection of national and international galleries, the fair promotes a broad dialogue between innovative projects from the international scene, becoming an event that goes beyond the market and encourages discovery, reflection and artistic research.

The Amazon is the central project for 2025, with the programme Wametisé: ideas for an Amazofuturism, curated by Denilson Baniwa and Maria Wills, in collaboration with the Institute for Postnatural Studies. It reflects on new forms of creation that represent hybrid existences between human, plant, physical and metaphysical bodies. 24 artists are taking part in this section, including Carlos Jacanamijoy -Almine Rech-, who is returning to the fair after his last participation in 1999; Naine Terena and Coletivo Mahku -Carmo Johnson Projects-; Dhiani Pa’saro, Duhigó and Paulo Desana, -Manaus Amazônia-, who are all taking part in ARCOmadrid for the first time. Other artists such as Claudia Andujar -Vermelho-; Carlos Motta, -Mor Charpentier-; Chonon Bensho and Brus Rubio -80 m2 Livia Benavides-; Mapa Teatro -Rolf Art-, and Juan Downey -1 Mira Madrid-, galleries that are also part of the general programme.
Opening. New Galleries is once again the section of ARCOmadrid dedicated to the discovery of innovative projects. The selection made by Cristina Anglada and Anissa Touati represents the commitment of young national and international galleries with the participation of galleries such as Artbeat, Blue Velvet, Fermay, Eins Gallery and Remota, all returning to the programme, and new galleries such as Callirrhoë, El Chico, Brigitte Mulholland and Reservoir.
The Profile | Latin American Art section continues to strengthen the historical link between ARCOmadrid and Latin American art. José Esparza Chong Cuy, the curator of this section, carries out research focussing on presenting a single artist per gallery. The section consists of 10 artists, including Bárbara Sánchez Kane with Kurimanzutto, Dan Lie with Barbara Wien, Chaveli Sifre with Embajada, Mariela Scafati with Isla Flotante or Jota Mombaça with Martins&Montero, as well as Ofelia Rodríguez with Instituto de Visión and Rember Yahuarcani with Crisis, galleries that also participate in the section Wametisé: Ideas for an Amazofuturism.
ARCO, together with Madrid’s exhibitions and institutions, attracts the attention of galleries, artists, collectors, curators and professionals in the sector, once again becoming an unmissable event in the international contemporary art calendar.
