The Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich will be presented for the first time in a solo exhibition in Germany from October 12, 2024 to July 13, 2025. At the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, he is literally turning the world upside down: what is hidden inside a giant moon? Can a “life-size” house float? Can clouds be captured and presented in a display case? Can the apparent weightlessness in a spaceship become an experience as part of the exhibition? What is the story behind the satellite image of a landscape hanging at lofty heights?

As obscure as the questions are, as unique are the works of the internationally renowned artist. He provides an insight into a moon over 11 meters high, which can be entered from the inside as well as the outside. He allows visitors to experience the illusion of floating in space in a spaceship and twists the perspective of our perception, in which we see a house uprooted from below. Nothing obeys the laws of physics anymore.
Erlich is known for his conceptual and iconic installations that play with the momentum of confusion and the reversal of perspectives. For the exhibition in Wolfsburg, Leandro Erlich is developing predominantly new, specially created works and transforming the large hall of the Kunstmuseum into a unique experiential space.
