The exhibition will feature around 30 international contemporary positions from Art’Us Collectors’ Collective. The Collectors’ Collective is an association of four collections in Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich and Stuttgart and pursues the goal of promoting, showing and mediating artists. By now, the collections comprise a joint pool of over 1,000 works.

With exhibitions in Potsdam, Berlin, Munich, Bremen, Cologne and Viersen, the collections have already proven that they develop challenging presentations. Collaborating and working together is rather rare among collectors in general and shows how private art can be made accessible and shared through a collective mindset.
The artist Raul Walch calls for Reset Yourself in his work, which could serve as a leitmotif for the exhibition. Uncertainty characterises the mood in which our society currently finds itself. The works brought together in the exhibition sense this: The rough, unformed, porous, unfinished, but also the reduced are expressions of a necessary transition, which consists of recognising and accepting social responsibility. In the Kühlhaus Berlin, an industrial monument, the exhibition takes up the provisional-unfinished aesthetic of the surroundings and addresses the effects of capitalism and consumption.
“With other forms of resistance, the exhibition seeks strategies for future models of alternative worlds that allow free spaces for associations, outlooks and interpretations in the new reality, and a new way of dealing with things. In life and in art.”
-Harald F. Theiss, curator of the exhibition
