5.30 pm
KOAXULA is a collaborative sound and performance project by Natalia Escobar and Daniela Huerta that uses sound, performance and installation to find hybrid narrative forms. They are inspired by mythological archetypes that build a bridge between past, present and future. At the Neue Nationalgalerie, they are presenting a new site-specific hybrid performance that combines electro-acoustic sounds with themes such as intimacy, pleasure and vulnerability, and which takes up the ideas of the current exhibition “Andy Warhol. Velvet Rage and Beauty”.
8 pm
YU LIN HUMM is a versatile composer, musician and visual artist. Known for her collaborations with renowned artists such as Damien Rice and Gaspar Claus, Humm has composed award-winning soundtracks for theatre and film. Her current focus is on creating immersive experiences that combine music, science and visual art to deepen the connection to the natural world. At Neue Nationalgalerie, she will present her first solo cello album Islas Resonantes, which she composed while travelling along the Orinoco River on the Colombian-Venezuelan border.
8.45 pm
LYRA PRAMUK plays sounds of liquefied vocals and mystical electronics to explore the healing potential of music. Combining classical singing, pop sensibility, performance and contemporary club culture, she explores the relationship between technology and humanity and a post-human, non-binary understanding of life. On this evening at Neue Nationalgalerie, Pramuk presents a new live set accompanied by electric guitarist Jules Reidy, vocalist Eli Berman and poets Nadia Marcus and Lesley Moon. In the spirit of improvisation, the sunset performance combines unreleased tracks with spoken poetry and original songs.
The event is co-curated by Natalia Escobar and Daniela Huerta in collaboration with Gregor Quack, Volkswagen Group Fellow at Freunde der Nationalgalerie e.V
