Culterim shows “One Mask. One Day.” with Ruth Unger | 01.06.- 04.06.2023

From 01 June 2023, Culterim Gallery will be showing the exhibition “One Mask. One Day.” by the artist Ruth Unger.

Ruth Unger was born in Berlin, studied in Dresden and now lives and works in Leipzig. All materials are used as they come, combined idiosyncratically and celebrated in their uniqueness and associative potential. Ruth Unger paraphrases images of everyday life as enveloping surfaces and explores tensions between the inner and outer worlds. The result is relics of visual habit that answer the question of identity again and again.

One Mask. One Day.

The daily sculpture series, which began in 2020 with 50 masks on 50 days and continued in 2022 with another 50 pieces. This is an excerpt from the ongoing series: One Mask. One Day.
